The Story
In the production of our new down vest, we meticulously focused on the quality of the leather, filling (down), and design, taking the necessary time to perfect each element. Utilizing horsehide from Shinki Hikaku Co., Ltd. in Himeji, a renowned tanner of horse leather, we have achieved a thin and soft texture.
After years of absence, we are pleased to introduce the revival of our duotone model that incorporates horsehide for the yoke section. The same horsehide used for our jackets is also employed, with a thickness of 1.0mm and a soft and supple feel achieved through the staking process. Our down filling is sourced from Japan and is both lightweight and insulating, while the down pack is made from premium French down at a dedicated Japanese factory. A mixture of 90% down and 10% feathers produces a light and warm pack. The design features a simple yet effective shoulder yoke, with a wonderful fit.
